Arab Coalition keen on protecting civilians, says spokesperson

Spokesperson of Saudi-led Arab Coalition for supporting legality in Yemen Colonel Turki al-Maliki stated that the Coalition is very keen on taking necessary measures to protect civilians and children during combat operations against the putschist Houthi militia's military positions.

Speaking at press conference he held Monday evening in RIaydh, Co. al-Maliki added that Command of Arab Coalition signed a memorandum of understanding with the Representative of the UN Secretary General about the protection of children inside Yemen, under the memo a unit to be established for protecting children.

He stated that international reports noted that Houthi militia recruited more than 24 thousands of children. Meanwhile, the Coalition and legitimate Yemeni government have managed to bring back 113 children were recruited by the Houthi militia and dispatched them to the borders with Saudi Arabia.

Concerning to the ongoing military operations, Co. al-Maliki stated that the putschist Houthi militia has lost 1131 of its militants and 348 military positions over the past couples of weeks.
