Under-Secretary of Ministry of Public Health and Population Dr Showqi Asharjabi met on Sunday here with Representative of International Assistances in Japanese Foreign Ministry.
Dr Asharjabi's discussions with the Japanese official intended to explore Japan's support for health sector in Yemen.
Asharjabi voiced Yemeni government's appreciation for Japan's support for the Yemeni people in different spheres.
The Japanese official stated that her country will continue to support Yemen; noting that Japan has pledged $53 million in 2019 in aids to Yemen to be provided through international agencies. She stated that Japan's contribution to relief and humanitarian efforts in Yemen to amounted above $300 million.
