Prime Minister Salem Saleh bin Braik arrived Wednesday in the Emirati capital Abu Dhabi on an official visit in response to an invitation from the leadership of the sisterly United Arab Emirates.

Prime Minister confirms implementation service, development projects in Socotra

Prime Minister Ma'een Abdulmalik has confirmed government's keenness on carrying out service and development projects in Socotra Archipelago- within capabilities of current public budget- for improving services and livelihood of the people.
He directed all ministries and other government's bodies to coordinate with the local authority's leadership in Socotra for implementing plans and projects in the province within its budget capacity.
In his meeting with Governor of Shabwa Archipelago Ramzi Mahrous and directors of executive offices here on Sunday, they discussed security situation, infrastructure projects in the province and mechanism of approving new projects in accordance to the urgent need.
The meeting touched upon performance of the local authority in the archipelago, service situation and improving Socotra Port in coordination with the State of Kuwait, which finances the project.
Governor Mahrous appreciated following up of the political leadership and government's care of carrying out service and development projects in the archipelago.
