Prime Minister Dr. Ma'een Abdulmalik discussed on Tuesday with Representative of the United Nations Fund for Population in Yemen Anjali Sen programs and activities of the fund in Yemen.
He confirmed the government's keenness on improving health situations across Yemen, especially health care as it started paying salaries of all doctors across Yemen.
He pointed out to government's efforts for realizing demanded reforms in health sector and all other service sectors, seeking support of the United Nations organizations and other humanitarian agencies operating in Yemen.
PM praised efforts of UNFPA in Yemen, confirming government's keenness on boosting cooperation with UN agencies.
For her part, Sen acquainted Prime Minister with the fund's support to reproductive health sector and facing gender violence.
She pointed out that the fund is the sole funder of reproductive health supplies in Yemen and plans in 2019 for reaching more women and girls.
She also acquainted PM with activities the fund caries out with youth for implementing UN resolution on youth, peace and security.
