Prime Minister Maeen Abdulmalek said a radical resolution of the ongoing war in Yemen lies in uprooting the causes of the war, the Houthi coup d'état of September 2014.
In a meeting with the acting British ambassador to Yemen here toay, Abdulmalek said the resolution needs to be in line with the three locally and internationally agreed upon terms of reference for peace; the GCC Initiative, the outcomes of the National Dialogue and the UNSC resolutions mainly resolution no. 2216 (2015).
Abdumlalek said that the Iran-backed Houthis war against the Yemenis is still continuing and causing a collapse in all aspecs of life or the Yemeni people.
He said everyday the militia designs new setbacks and schemes to avoid peace as is clear in their failure to observe the Stockholm Agreement.
