Minister of State for Parliamentary Affairs Mohammad Al-Hemyari on Monday discussed with the Chinese Ambassador to Yemen Kang Yong the joint cooperation between the two countries and ways to strengthen and develop them.
Al-Hemyari briefed Yong on the ongoing arrangements for the resumption of the sessions of the Yemeni Parliament in the interim capital Aden after the quorum of the pro-government MPs has been secured.
He pointed out that the Houthi coupist militia is practicing persecution and house arrest against the members of the parliament remaining in the capital Sana'a.
He praised China's support for Yemen's government under the leadership of His Excellency President Abd-Rabbu Mansour Hadi and for a political solution in Yemen in line with the three agreed upon terms of reference for peace; the Gulf Initiative, the outcomes of the National Dialogue and the UN Security Council resolutions concerning the Yemeni crisis.
