Prime Minister Salem Saleh bin Braik arrived Wednesday in the Emirati capital Abu Dhabi on an official visit in response to an invitation from the leadership of the sisterly United Arab Emirates.

EU allocates 600 million euro in aid to support legitimate government

The Head of EU Mission to Yemen Antonia Calvo-Puerta stated that the EU has allocated 600 million euro in direct aid to support the Yemeni government in the upcoming years.
As she met in Aden on Wednesday with Finance Minister Ahmed Al-Fadhli Calvo-Pureta applauded the government tendency to pay civil service employees in different Yemeni governorates, starting with employees of health sector.
She noted that the EU support is not only confined to humanitarian efforts but also for building the institutions.
Al-Fadhli said" The government was working on the final touches of the state general budget for 2019 which is set to be approved by the Council of Minister by the end of this month".
Al-Fadhli noted that total amount of government's employees in education sector in the militia controlled regions is 150 billion Yemeni rial (YR) annually.
