Yemeni-German talks on releasing Yemeni Central Bank's account

Governor of the Central Bank of Yemen Mohammad Zimam discussed on Tuesday with German Ambassador to Yemen Carola Muller measures of re-opening CBY's accounts frozen by some German banks.
During the meeting, Deputy Governor of the CBY for banking foreign operations Hussein al-Quaiti said releasing frozen accounts will help the central bank of Yemen of using them for paying its Euro commitment in addition to resuming cooperation between Yemeni and German banks.
German banks were paying Yemen Euro-pay commitment in accordance with agreement signed between Germany and the Central Bank of Yemen.
Muller confirmed that she communicated with German banks on this regard and is waiting for an answer.
The meeting also dealt with granting receipt accredits for supplying import of good and basic foods and what has been withdrawn from Saudi deposit yet.
