The Ministry of Human Rights has launched a workshop on the role of civil society organizations in promoting peace based on human rights.
The workshop is being attended by 50 male and female participants from civil society organizations working in the field of human rights.
Deputy Minister of Human Rights Dr. Samir al-Shaibani said that the ministry strives to strengthen the human rights system as one of the pillars of social justice and human dignity and means to respect the law and maintain security.
He pointed out that civil society organizations play the most importantrole in human rights activism.
