Prime Minister arrives in United Arab Emirates on official visit
Prime Minister Salem Saleh bin Braik arrived Wednesday in the Emirati capital Abu Dhabi on an official visit in response to an invitation from the leadership of the sisterly United Arab Emirates.

PM urges speeding drive of financial, administrative reforms

Prime Minister Dr Ma'een Abdulmalik has stated that government has been working on a set of reformative financial and administrative programs, underlining the important job needs to be done by the monitoring apparatuses over all official institutions in order to speed up development and constructive action for achieving desired ends.

He gave his instructions as he met Sunday with Finance Minister Ahmed al-Fadhli, Governor of the Central Bank of Yemen (CBY) and Deputy Minister of Civil Service and Insurance Dr Abdullah al-Mayssari.

Dr Ma'een insisted on the urgency of boosting the size of revenues through improving mechanisms of collecting taxes, customs, oil, telecoms, transports and banks returns.

The Prime Minister praised the per month $60 million oil grant by the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia which has proved very helpful for the Yemeni government and people.

Dr Ma'een emphasized the importance of paying all government's employees regularly, and pensioners as well.
