Minister of Water and Environment, Engineer Tawfiq Al-Sharjabi, held a virtual meeting with the Japanese Ambassador to Yemen, Katsuyoshi Hayashi, to discuss enhancing bilateral cooperation in the water, sanitation, and environmental sectors.

Fatah, FAO representative discuss rural development projects

Minister of Local Administration, the Chairman of the Higher Committee for Relief Aid Abdulraqeeb Fatah and the FAO Resident Representative Salah Al-Haj Hassan have discussed the FAO's Plan for 2019 especially the rural development projects.

They discussed strengthening the coordination and joint cooperation between the FAO and the local authorities and all concerned counterparts in the different provinces towards implementing the FAO's projects.

Fatah stressed that the international organizations need to take their role in Yemen from the diagnosis of the humanitarian situation to the next level; the addressing of this situationthrough projects that promote stability, improve livelihoods and create sustainable rural development

He called on the FAO to undertake more projects in the province of Al-Mahra, which had just suffered the effects of Luban cyclonic storm.
