Prime Minister Mo'eenAbdulmalik has said the government is focusing on improving economic situation via implementation of a number of programs and reforms.
In his meeting with Director of World Food Program Office Mohammad Mahmoud on Monday, Prime Minister praised efforts of the program for supporting Yemen, noting that the WFP helps the state in providing aid and services to the most affected people, especially after the difficult humanitarian situations over Houthi war.
The two parties discussed WFP's activities and roles in providing relief and aid to needy people and challenges it faces in carrying out it its humanitarian activities.
Prime Minister expressed hope of increasing coordination between the WFP and concerned Yemeni bodies for improving relief and humanitarian activities, especially increasinglivelihood chances and enabling most affected people to survive.
He confirmed that the government will work on providing all facilitations needed for the program's activities and issuing visas for international employees for practicing their duties in Yemen easily.
For his part, Mahmoud praised cooperation between the government and WFP and reviewed challenges facing the program's activities, pointing to irresponsible practices and violations by Houthis in different areas.
