Prime Minister Dr Ma'een Abdulmalik received Thursday in Aden, temporary capital, Minister of State for International Cooperation in the United Arab Emirates (UAE) Reem Al-Hashimi and Ambassador of the UAE to our country Salim bin Khalifah Al-Ghafli.
During the meeting Dr Ma'een briefed Al-Hashimi on the government's efforts to handle early economic recovery challenge, reinstating state's institutions and empowering local authorities to carry out their practical and administrative programs.
The Prime Minister highly appreciating substantial support provided by the UAE to Yemeni government and people in different fields, namely in the areas of development, economy and relief.
Dr Ma'een praised wise leadership of the UAE, deeply appreciating Emirati supporting stances toward Yemen and Yemeni people.
The Prime Minister stated that political leadership headed by President Abd-Rabbu Mansour Hadi is very keen to manage the challenges facing the country. " Government has managed to secure paying pensioners in all Yemeni governorates and it has been working hard to secure necessary resources to pay all government's employees throughout the country including the putschist militia-controlled regions", Ma'een said.
The Prime Minister highlighted significant role play by Emirati Red Crescent in providing developmental assistance in several governorates, contributing largely to reinstating basic services.
For her part, the Emirati Minister affirmed that the UAE won't save any effort to support Yemen in different spheres.
Al-Hashimi urged further coordination between the legitimate government and her own country about top and pressing priorities.
Governor of the Central Bank of Yemen Dr Mohammed Zemam was in attendance.
