Yemen has participated in the meeting of foreign ministers of the Arab and African countries with Coasts on the Red Sea and Gulf of Aden.
In the meeting, held in the Saudi capital Riyadh on Wednesday, Yemen's delegation was led by Deputy Foreign Minister Mohammad Al Hadhrami.
The meeting agreed on the importance of establishing an entity comprising Arab and African countries with coasts on the Red Sea and the Gulf of Aden to coordinate and cooperate with each other in the political, economic, cultural, environmental and security fields.
In a speech at the meeting, Hadhrami welcomed the initiative of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia regarding the establishment of entity. He highlighted the advantages and unique characteristics of the Red Sea and Gulf of Aden and called for the creation of a regulatory and legal framework to coordinate work between these countries politically, economically and security wise.
