National Committee tasked with investigating violations of human rights called on the parties to the ongoing conflict to comply with International Humanitarian Law.
In a press statement on the Universal Day of Human Rights the Yemeni News Agency (Saba) obtained a copy of, the Committee reported that it document (5572) claims of violations against human rights in 2018.
The statement cited the following statistics of abuses of different types" The Committee documents 1762 attacks targeted civilians, 704 killed, 1058 wounded among of them 196 women and 413 children. Moreover, 643 cases were documented and investigated by the committee..
The statement went on" These cases included enforced disappearance, arbitrary arrest, torture, 123 landmine planting against individual and vehicles resulted in 137 victims included 33 children, 13 women.
The committee also investigated 78 cases of killing outside law, 107 child recruitment, 4 cases of attacks against medical teams, 21 cases of detonating houses. The committee also investigated 4 cases of attacks targeted civilians by drones and 9 cases of attacks against historical hallmarks".
