The Council of Ministers convened an extraordinary meeting Monday in the temporary capital Aden Presided over by Prime Minister Dr Ma'een Abdulmalik.

The session intended to discuss several significant internal and external developments about the situations in the country and government's efforts to deal with.

The Cabinet has approved a practical program for the government's action to manage urgent priorities need to be addressed within 100 days.

A package of top priorities set out by ministerial committee chaired by Deputy Prime Minister Salim Al-Khanbashi to be a central focus of the government's actions. Most pressing priorities the government has been tasked with addressing are: improving infrastructure of basic services, stop national currency slide, regain living condition stability, re-establish security.

The Cabinet heard several reports about the government's performance in different fields.

The Ministry of Industry and Trade reported about the basic commodity supplies and reasonable improvement realized in prices . The report stated that prices of basic food stuffs and commodities decreased with %20 in Aden and %15 in other government-held regions.

The Cabinet reviewed underway efforts to pay pensioners their due monthly pensions throughout all the provinces in the country.

The Deputy Chief of Staff reported to the Cabinet about the ongoing combat operations against the Houthi putschist militia in different fronts.

The Cabinet also discussed clarifications by Minister of Interior about the security situations in the temporary capital and government controlled region.

Ministry of Public Works presented a report about the Fund for Reconstructing Hudramout and Al-Maharah. The Fund established in 2008 to re-build affected areas which suffered damage by the natural disaster of rainfalls and floods. The report cited that 2762 houses were rebuild and 5217 houses were partially repaired.

The Council of Ministers reviewed the UN-led underway arrangements to hold peace consultations in Sweden within days ahead.

The Cabinet reiterated the constructive reaction by the legitimate government and political leadership headed by President Abd-Rabbu Mansour Hadi to all International and UN's led-efforts to establish peace, put down the coup and ending the Yemenis' ordeal and humanitarian catastrophe caused by Houthi coup d'état.

The Cabinet reiterated the government' sincere desire to make peace, eliminate the coup on the basis of the three terms of reference including the GCC's Initiative, its executive mechanisms, outcomes of National Dialogue and International Security Council resolution 2216.
