Prime Minister Mo'eenAbdulmalik presided over a meeting for Minister of Civil Service and Securities Nabil al-Faqih, Deputy Minister of Finance Mansour al-Betani, Deputy Governor of the Central Bank of Yemen ShakibHubaishi, the Head of the General Authority for Pensions Ali Naser al-Haddar and the Head of the General Corporation for Securities and Pensions Ahmad SalehSaif.
The meeting tackled making a mechanism for paying pensions of all retired people who have pensions in the General Authority for Pensions (GAP) and in the General Corporation for Securities and Pensions (GCSP) across Yemen, including those areas under Houthi control.
The meeting approved transferring pensioners' monthly payments within next week on the bases of the mechanism agreed upon with the Central Bank of Yemen in the Transitional Capital of Aden through the bank's banking channels to ensure direct transfer to the beneficiary and paying pensions to all pensioners in all provinces, including Houthi-held areas.
Prime Minister confirmed paying due-claims of all pensioners in all country's provinces, including Houthi-held areas despite scarcity of resources and lack of capabilities under these difficult conditions the country goes through and stubbornness of Houthi militia of handing over the state's revenues to the Central Bank in Aden.
