Yemen's ambassador to Rome Asmahan Al-Tawqi and the Italian special envoy for Yemen Gianfranco Petruzzella discussed issues of mutual concern mainly the latest developments political and humanitarian situations in Yemen.
In a meeting they held in the Italian capital on Wednesday, they discussed the Yemeni government’s efforts to reach a sustainable peace with the Houthi coupists in such a way that meets the aspirations of the Yemeni people and end the country’s humanitarian suffering.
The Italian envoy stressed his country's support for political solution and commitment to provide Yemen with relief aid to alleviate the effects of the humanitarian crisis through the competent UN agencies
