Prime Minister Dr. Mo'eenAbdulmalik received on Tuesday the UN Development Team and discussed with them latest developments in Yemen and relief and development activities of the UN in the country.
Prime Minister welcomed the UN team, which included the UN Political Affairs Officer for the Middle East and Western Asia, the Advisor of the Development Program and the Regional Director of the UNDP in Yemen,as well Acting Director of the UNDP's Office in Aden Walidba-Haron.
He praised the role of the UNDP for protecting Yemeni people over the effects of the war waged against them by Houthi militia.
He confirmed government's cooperation with the program for realizing the sustainable development, boosting the economic growth, combating corruption and poverty and providing protecting and preventative health to the people during the reconstruction phase.
For his part, the UN team confirmed wide cooperation with the government of Yemen for helping the Yemeni people over deteriorated humanitarian and economic conditions.
