Al-Yemany: The Yemeni-Russian relations a milestone in international ones

Minister of Foreign Affairs Khaled al-Yemany has said the Yemeni-Russian relations will remain a milestone in international relations based on joint interests and deep-rooted ties.

" The 90-years old of humanitarian, political, cultural , social, development, economic and military cooperation between the two peoples of Yemen and Russia have left deep-rooted heritage we are proud of," said Minister al-Yemany in a letter he sent on Thursday to his Russian Counterpart Sergey Lavrov on Thursday on the 90th Ceremony of Diplomatic Relations between the two countries.

He valued Russian positions supporting the government of President Abd-Rabbo Mansour Hadi, expressing Yemen's aspirations for more active Russian role as permanent member in the Security Council for ending Houthi coup and realizing peace based on the GCC Initiative, the outcomes of the National Dialogue Conference and the UN related resolutions, more specifically the Resolution 2216.

He expressed hope of more progress and prosperity to Russia and more progress to the Yemeni-Russian relations.
