VP briefed on preparations to Laban tropical storm

Vice President (Lt Gen) Ali Mohssen Saleh met Thursday with Minister of Fishery Fahd Kafine and Governor of Socotra Archipelagos province Ramzi Muhroos.

Kafine and Muhroos briefed (Lt Gen) Mohssen on the preparations made to deal with any emergencies may be caused by the tropical storm (Laban). They detailed him about underway efforts by the 'Operation Room' which established for this purpose.

The Vice President urged further efforts and preparedness in medical facilities and shelter places.

The meeting also touched upon the situations in the Archipelagos and local authorities' actions including military and security services aiming to establish security and stability in the province, and developing fishery sector to improve the populations' incomes and living conditions.
