Development vocational and technical projects discussed in Aden

Deputy Minister of Technical Cooperation and Vocational Training Abd-Rabbo al-Mahwali has confirmed integrated efforts for carrying out development projects and activities in vocational and technical fields enhancing youth capabilities in labor market.
Al-Mahwali presided over a meeting on Tuesday for showing accomplishments of the project supporting and improving vocational apprenticeship organized by SOS Center for Youth Capabilities Development in cooperation with World Labor Organization.
21 participants from vocational education, social affairs and lobar and the General Union of Trade Champers were included in the meeting.
He praised the importance of the project of supporting apprenticeship in Yemen as it targets youth in provinces of Lahj and Abyan in its first step and contributed in developing their vocational and technical capabilities.
He confirmed significance of partnership between bodied implementing the project and the ministry of technical education and vocational training for implementing the second phase and including private sector for supporting youth and improving their capabilities.
Meanwhile, the Executive Director of SOS Center Majed Qasem, the Coordinator of the Project Najiba al-Najjar and the Coordinator of the Project of Boosting Capabilities in Yemeni Countryside Tawfeeq Jaber reviewed accomplished activities of the project of boosting capabilities for improving vocational apprenticeship in Yemen.
They also reviewed results achieved in the first phase, which targeted 120 male and female apprentices in Abyan and Lahj for five crafts and preparations for holding the second phase which includes Aden and Lahj provinces for training four new crafts.
