Our country's embassy in Madrid organized Tuesday a press conference at the International Club for Journalism.

A number of Spanish media outlets and journalists attended the event which aimed to shed lights on the latest developments about the situations in Yemen in different spheres.

Yemen's Ambassador Nabil Maysari provided a detailed presentation the coup d'état which Houthi militia carried and resulted in disastrous economic and humanitarian consequences the Yemen peoples have been suffering now.

Al-Maysari also touched upon the report issued by the UN High Commissionaire for Human Rights and the Yemeni government's comments about its content. The Ambassador stated that the report lacked impartiality, overlooked Houthi militia's crimes over four years.

Al-Maysari made clear that the legitimate government has been very interested in establishing fair and sustainable peace based on the three terms of reference: the GCC's Initiative, its executive mechanism, outcomes of the National Dialogue and the UNSCRs, mainly 2216.

He also reiterated the government's support for the UN's envoy to Yemen.

The Ambassador noted that Houthi militia is blamed for thwarting peace's efforts and prospects, looting relief and humanitarian assistance, violating human rights, recruiting children, besieging Taiz, threatening international maritime navation and smuggling weapons through Hodeida seaport.
