Ambassador Khameas, Japanese officials discuss situations in our country
[21/09/2018 05:20]

TOKYO-SABA
Yemen's Ambassador to Tokyo Samear Khameas met Friday with Chairman of the Committee on Foreign Affairs in the Japanese Parliament Nakayama Yasohidi and Chairman of the Committee on Foreign Affairs and Defense in the Council of Advisers Miaki Shinque.

The latest developments about the situations in our country and the legitimate government's efforts aimed to make peace and good offices have been exerted by the UN's envoy to put an end of the Yemeni peoples' suffering due to Houthi militia war were key focus of Khamea's conversations with the Japanese officials.

During the meeting Khameas handed over copies of the legitimate government's comments on the report of the Panel of Experts about human rights in Yemen. The report lacked impartiality and fairness due to inaccurate data and disinformation incorporated in. Moreover, the report unfairly overlooked all violations the militia has committed.

The Japanese officials reiterated their country's support for the legitimate government's efforts aiming to end the war and make peace. They also showed interested in discussing the legitimate government's remarks about the report of the Panel of Experts with the officials in the Japanese government.
