Public employees receive training in water-related maintenance

A number of public employees began a training course operational and preventive maintenance of water equipment and in water disinfection in Marib province on Saturday.

Sixteen employees from the Public Corporation for Water and Sanitation (PCWS) employees and Marib's main hospital will learn expertise in the maintenance of water plant generators, pumps and control panels and water chlorination.

Sponsored by the International Committee of the Red Cross, the course will eventually be in the interest of a large population in the province packed with thousands of people displaced by the Houthi militia.

The flow of dispacees to Marib has highly increased the consumption of water and several water treatment plants have been set up in the province over the past two years.
