The Deputy Minister of Interior for Training and Rehabilitation Major General Dr. Riyad Al-Faqir, inaugurated an education course on human rights for personnel of the ministry in the temporary capital Aden on Sunday.
The course, under the auspices of Minister of Interior Ahmed Al-Maysariis meant to provide 50 participants in the police, prisons and criminal investigation centers in the governorates of Aden, Lahj, Abyan, Dali'a and Taiz with the necessary knowledge and principles of human rights in the Yemeni legislation.
The five-day course will teach the attendants on the protection of women and children in accordance with international treaties and conventions, prisons and psychology, criminal investigation and technology, human rights and the text of the Universal Declaration, and the positions of the Yemeni legislationstoward international human rights law.
