RIYADH-SABA
The Secretary General of Gulf Cooperation Council or GCC Abdullatif Al Zayani has confirmed that committing to the three basic references for solving the crisis in Yemen meets aspirations of Yemeni people and stop playing with its capabilities.

In the high level conference held on Monday in the GCC's General Secretariat here and attended by the ambassadors of Group 19 supporting political process in Yemen, ministers and representatives of the regional and international organizations, Al Zayani called the international community to exert active pressure for pushing the political process forward and forcing Houthirebels to submit to the resolve of Yemeni people and implement the international resolutions led by UN Resolution 2216.

The conference has been held under the motto of "References of the Political Solution to Yemeni Crisis."

"Hosting this important conference by the General Secretariat confirms firm position of the Cooperation Council for supporting the Republic of Yemen and its legal leadership under President Hadi and supporting its dear people in such difficult conditions it faces, and supporting the government of Yemen in restoring its full power on all Yemeni territories from Houthi rebel militia and regaining security and stability and peace to brother Yemen and the region in general," he said.

He renewed the firm position adopted by the GCC since the beginning of the Yemeni crisis calling for stopping Yemeni bloodshed and its keenness on defusing the war between Yemeni brothers via the Gulf Initiative and its implementation mechanism.
