Yemen, China discuss UN's good offices, arrangements for Geneva consultations

Undersecretary of Foreign Ministry for Political Affairs Dr Mansour Bajash stated that legitimate government is willing to deal constructively with peace consultations suggested by the UN.

His statement came as he met Wednesday with the Charged Affairs in the Chinese embassy in our country Gein Huwi.

Latest developments about the UN envoy's efforts were a central focus of Bajash's conversations with the Chinese diplomat.

Dr Bajash made clear that legitimate government always reacts responsibly to peace proposals and put the peoples' interest above throughout the Yemeni crisis. He stated that the government has already made significant concessions in the hope of realizing political solution to end the Yemeni peoples' suffering.

He also touched upon the lethal consequences of the putschist militia's criminal acts and irresponsible practices that pose perilous threats to the international maritime passageways.

The Chinese diplomat reiterated his country's support for the legitimate government and peace process efforts. He noted that China is carefully following the dangerous developments south-east the Red Sea and Bab Al-Mandeb Strait. He stressed the importance of reestablishing stability in Yemen to ensure the international peace and security.
