Prime Minister Salem Saleh bin Braik arrived Wednesday in the Emirati capital Abu Dhabi on an official visit in response to an invitation from the leadership of the sisterly United Arab Emirates.

Yemen, Sri Lanka to boost political, economic ties

Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs for Political Affairs Dr. Mansour Bajjash discussed with Ambassador of Sri Lanka in Riyadh Mohammad Azmi boosting political and economic relations between the two countries, as well as support trading in international forums.
Bajjash reviewed political and ground situations in Yemen and efforts exerted by the government of Yemen for realizing peace, regaining the state and ending suffering of Yemeni people, pointing out that the rebel militia- with support from Iran- seeks to continue the war and utilizing suffering of the people, threatening the neighboring countries and international trade routes.
For his part, the Sri Lankan diplomat confirmed his country's firm position supporting the government of Yemen and the political solution to the country's crisis.
He also confirmed Sri Lankan's support to Yemen in different international forums.
