Coalition denounces Houthi militia's terrorist act against Thoura Hospital
[04/08/2018 08:14]

RIYADH-SABA
The Command of Joint Forces of the Saudi-led Coalition has denounced Houthi terrorist act of targeting al-Thawrah Hospital and fish market in Hodeida city, killing a number of civilians.

The Spokesperson of the Coalition ColonelTurki al-Maliki has confirmed that there are indicators from military experts that Houthi militia used mortar shells and initial proofs suggests that Houthis used a shell of 120 ml. used earlier by Houthi militia.

He reviewed some facts and indicators on targeting the hospital and the fish market in Hodeida confirms Houthi militia's breach of the international law and humanitarian law.

He made it clear that investigations of damages in the place of incident show that air forces or bombs were not used as the damages in the area hints to mortar shells.

He confirmed that the targets carried out by the coalition forces against the militia yesterday were 2.5 KM away of the hospital and the market, and that weapon store was targeted yesterday was 7.3 km away from al-Thawra Hospital.

He pointed out to the release issued by the Humanitarian Coordinator in Yemen that yesterday targeting was the Coalition's airstrikes, confirming that all information from the United Nations are not true for many reasons; the UN has not office only in Sana'a and the environment was not suitable for the work of UN employees inside the capital Sana'a and there are no monitors moving in Yemeni provinces.

"We are opened to any claims coming to the command of the coalition over targets- God forbid -could be wrong or including souls losses," said Colonel al-Maliki, confirming that the UN organizations must focus only humanitarian activities and providing assistances to the Yemeni people.

He confirmed that the joint force will continue its military operations for liberating Hodeida City and Port for restoring Yemeni lands and liberating the western coast from Houthis for protecting security and stability of the southern Red Sea.
