Vice President (Lt Gen) Ali Mohssen Saleh met Thursday here with the Charged Affairs of the British embassy, British Military Attaché, to Yemen Colonel Matt Star Wars.
Yemeni-British military bilateral ties and cooperation was a central focus of (Lt Gen) Mohssen's conversations with Col. Wars. The latest developments in our country were also touched upon.
The Vice President praised the British supportive stance in supporting the legitimate government and the efforts aiming to put the UN's resolutions into effects.
He also reiterated the government's support for the good offices have been made by the UN special envoy Martin Griffiths to achieve peace and resume political process.
The Vice President has made clear that legitimate government has been committed to establish sustainable peace that is based on the GCC's Initiative, its operational plan, National Dialogue's outcomes and the UNSCRs, namely 2216.
For his part, the British charged affairs reiterated his country's support for legitimate government in Yemen, wishing a peaceful settlement to be realized to put an end of the Yemeni peoples' ordeal.
