Yemen, Mauritanian discus latest developments

Yemen's Ambassador to Mauritania Salem al-Arada discussed with Mauritanian Minister of Culture and Handicrafts, who is also the government spokesman Mohamed Lemine Ould Cheikh, cooperation relation between the two countries and means of improving them.

Al-Arada reviewed latest developments in Yemen and government efforts for realizing peace despite Houthi rebel militia stubbornness and continuous targeting of international navigation through its control on the Port of Hodeida near the international maritime routes.

Al-Arada, who valued efforts of the Mauritanian Government supporting Yemen, confirmed that the decision of liberating Hodeida and its port from Houthi militia is a government's sovereign right.

For his part, the Mauritanian official renewed his country's support to Yemen and its legality under President Hadi and keenness on security, stability, unity and sovereignty of Yemen.
