Yemen, Cuba discuss latest developments on Hodeida

Yemen's Ambassador to Cuba Mohammad Nasher discussed on Saturday with General Director of Mutual Relations at Cuban Foreign Ministry developments in Yemen and regaining Hodeida City and Port from Houthis as basic step of regaining the state institutions and restoring the most important revenue-generating.

Ambassador Nasher confirmed that the national army's forces and the Arab Coalition are giving full concern on keeping the port opened and facilitating arrival of humanitarian assistances, noting that liberating Hodeida and its port enforces Yemen's stability and limit smuggling weapons to Houthis.

"Regaining Hodeida and its ports to the legality is also a protection to the regional security and ending the continuous threat to the international waterway in the Red Sea, Houthi militia has been threatening the international security through it," said Nasher.

He pointed to efforts exerted by President Hadi and the legal government for regaining the state and normalizing conditions in the liberated areas for realizing peace on the bases of the three references; the GCC Initiative, the Outcomes of the National Dialogue Conference and UN Security Resolution 2216.

He acquainted the Cuban official with aspirations of Iran and Hezbollah and their interferences and their support to Houthi militia and their adoption of terrorist organizations for destabilizing Yemen and the region in general.

For his part, the Cuban official confirmed support of his country's government to the legal government in Yemen and working on improving mutual relations.

He also confirmed Cuba's firm and permanent position supporting Yemenis for regaining security and stability and realizing peace
