PM: Political leadership a keen seeker for sustainable peace

Prime Minister Dr Ahmed Obeid Bin-Dagher has stated that political leadership headed by President Abd-Rabbu Mansour Hadi is seriously interested in establishing fair, durable and comprehensive peace that the Yemeni peoples are eagerly looking forward to. A peace that is based on the agreed on terms of reference: GCC's Initiative, its operational mechanism, National Dialogue's outcomes and International Security Council resolution 2216.

Bin-Dagher's statement came as he presided over a Cabinet meeting Thursday in the interim capital Aden. He made clear that any agreements about the consultations which precede any direct negotiations with the putschist militia or future solutions should abide by the three terms of reference to achieve sustainable and comprehensive peace in Yemen.

The Prime Minister gave comments on the political situation in the country and the outcomes of the UN's envoy second visit to Aden and his meeting with President Hadi. He reiterated the Government's continuous support for the UN's good offices for establishing the fair and durable peace that Yemeni peoples are desperately looking for. He also reaffirmed that Militia's withdrawal, handing back weapons and reinstating the legitimate authority is the shortest way to stop bloodshed and make peace.

Bin-Dagher said" Federal State is still the best option for all people of Yemen, it is the guarantor of ending the torment that our people endured over the past, and it is going to push the country ahead for establishing new Yemen on the foundation of justice, equity and fair distribution of resources and power".

The Council of Ministers was briefed by the governor of the Yemeni Central Bank (YCB) Dr Mohammed Zemmam on the bank's actions and achievements.

The Deputy Chief of Staffs, Maj. General Saleh Azendani reported the Cabinet about the progress and military advancements have been made by the government's armed forces alongside with local resistance backed by Saudi-led Arab Coalition in different fronts, particularly in the province of Hodeidah.

The Council of Ministers expressed deep appreciation for Saudi-led Arab Coalition's efforts that have been very helpful to stand up to Houthi militia coup d'état, moreover the generous support by the Coalition member states to the Yemeni people.
