Wethaq Foundation for Civil Orientation, a local NGO, has organized an entertainmenttrip for 27 children whomthe Houthi militia had embroiled in the armed insurgency or otherwise subjected them to the horrors of the war.
The trip, part of a rehab program Wethaq has been implementing with financing from King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Center, included a tour in Awam Temple and Belqis Throne two historical landmarks in the eastern province of Marib.
Wethaqaims at rehabilitating 80 children; ex-soldiers andotherwise traumatized children.
archeological sites of Marib including the city's historical Great Dam for healing as well as educational purposes. A psychologist in charge of the trip said entertainment program which consists of other activities will help children get rid aggressive behaviors, mindlessness and the psychological shocks they had experienced before.
As many as 81 children from Marib, Amran, Aljawf and Taiz are targeted by the healing project which had started in August 2017.
