Yemen's Ambassador to Austria HaythamShujaeddin met with the Director of Near and Middle East at the Austrian Foreign Ministry, Ambassador Thomas Nader on Friday.
Shujaeddinaffirmed the government's keenness to put an end to suffering of the civiliansin Hodeidah province because of the continuous Houthiviolations against them.
He affirmed that the government forces and the Arab Coalition forces are committed to the rules of engagement and international lawsin regards to protectin of civilians.
He referred to the plight of mines Houthis planted ubiquitously in the land and sea of the province
He said that coupist militia has used the Hodeidah port to launch terrorist attacks against international shipping and smuggle in Iranian-made arms with which they attack Yemeni provinces and territories of neighboring countries.
The militias also confiscate humanitarian aid shipped for the destitute people in Yemen and the list violations goes on and on.
Shujauddinsaid that the government is eager to achieve peace though. Therefore it welcomes the efforts the UN former and current peace mediators have exerted to resolve the Hodeidah administration issue.
He said that the government is committed to a permanent settlement that culminates with the setup of the unanimously agreed upon federal Yemen, a settlement which restson the three relevant terms of reference; the UN Security Council resolution no. 2216, the Gulf Initiative and the outcomes of the National Dialogue.
