Governor of Hadhramout Brigadier Faraj al-Bahsani discussed on Wednesday with the Jordanian higher education expert team a program for evaluating and categorizing Yemeni universities.
General Director of Awn Development Foundation Abdulleh bin-Othman and the experts provided a copy of the results of the workshop organized recently here with Arab and Asian participation for improving performance of the Yemeni Universities and raisin their rank in list of categorizing universities.
The team expressed their pleasure for the generous reception and cooperation and facilitation they got in Hadhramout, confirming that implementing the outcomes of the workshop is significant for promoting higher education, especially in Hadhramout, which witnessed visits to the University here.
This study has a profit and importance for it improving the universities to keep pace with other universities, said the expert, adding Hadhramout University will be the first to witness launching the program.
Governor al-Bahsani, who confirmed making use of the program, promised support of local authority to make the program successful.
On the other hand, Governor al-Bahsani discussed with the leadership of Mansour Company for Mining and specialized in black sand re-drafting the treaty on mining from the black sands and reporting to the Authority of Mining with needed document and procedures.
The governor ordered exporting the first shipment of heavy mines after finalizing necessary conditions and tests.
