President Hadi urges military action to retake Hodeida, save its population a humanitarian disaster
[13/06/2018 06:51]
ADEN-SABA
President, Field Marshal, Abd-Rabbu Mansour Hadi- Commander-in- Chief, urged Wednesday the government's troops along with local resistance fighters backed by Arab Coalition's Forces to drive Houthi putschist militiamen out of Hodeida city and retake the seaport city, after things had already come to a pretty pass in the province, where a human disaster is looming due to Houthi militia's practices and refusal to reach political settlement, a matter no longer can be tolerated.

The President said:" We have always been seeking to reach a peaceful solution that is based on the three terms of reference: GCC's Inititiave, its operational plan, outcomes of the National Dialogue and UNSCRs, namely 2216.

He added " We have offered many concessions to avoid military solution, but we can't allow anybody to capitalize on our peoples' suffering and make the Yemeni people hostage to prolong the ongoing warfare triggered by the putschist militia".

It is worthy to be noted that the Yemeni legitimate government has made clear in an official statement that it has consumed all political and peaceful approaches to drive the Houthi militia out of the Hodeida seaport , but in vain.

The statement went on saying the government frequently stated that the rebellious militia has taken the advantage of its control over the harbor to smuggle the Iranian weapons in order to prolong the conflict and kill the Yemeni people. Adding to that the seaport has become a launch pad to carry out military attacks against the Yemeni troops and Arab Coalition Forces, beside threatening international marine navigation with intimidating commercial ships sailing through Bab Al-Mandab Strait.

The government noted repeatedly that Houthi militia controls Hodeida seaports and take over the shipments of humanitarian aids, sell them in black market or hold back to its fighters.

The government has confirmed that after retaking Hodeida it will undertake its national responsibility toward the population of Hodied. Backed by Arab Coalition the government will do its utmost efforts to renormalize situations in the wake of the devastations caused by the imamate Houthi militia that seriously damaged infrastructure and public facilities.

It is worthy to be mentioned that President Hadi's call on the Arab Coalition Forces to support the Yemeni government armed forces and local resistance in order to get the military mission done aims to alleviate Hodeida population's suffering and re-instate the legitimate government's authority and institutions throughout the country.
