Yemen Says Houthi Militia Poses Direct Threat to Regional Peace, Condemns Attacks on Gulf Infrastructure
Yemen has affirmed that the Iran-backed Houthi militia poses a direct threat to regional peace and security and to international navigation, saying the group is a tool used to undermine Yemen’s sovereignty and stability, disrupt basic services, and obstruct the delivery of humanitarian assistance to those in need.

Bakreit, Saudi Ambassador inspect public service facilities in Mahrah

The Governor of Mahrah Rajeh Bakreit and the Saudi Ambassador to Yemen, the General Supervisor of the Yemen Reconstruction Program, Mohammed Al Jaber, inspected a number of public service facilities in the eastern province.
Bakreit and Al Jaber were briefed by the foremen of the facilities on the most important challenges and needs facing the facilities' function and what is required of the Reconstruction Program to provide in order to address those needs.
In the company of Minister of Public Works, Dr. Moeen Abdul-Malik, they paid an inspection visit to provincial capital al-Ghaydh's main hospital and main power station which had received a 10 MW power boost from the Government of Saudi Arabia.
Al Jaber pointed out that this tour aims to identify the needs of Mahrah in terms of services and vital projects and to identify the most significant setbacks to the operation of the service facilities, e.g. the lack and shortages of power, health service, water and roads.
The eventual goal to address those needs and provide support to strengthen those infrastructures under the reconstruction program.
Al Jaber affirmed that the Saudi government represented by King Salman bin Abdul Aziz and Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman are keen on providing support to province.
He said that the Saudi government and President Abd-Rabbu Mansour Hadi's government are working together to restore normal life back to all of Yemen.
