The Spokesman of the Arab Coalition backing the Yemeni government has confirmed that the Yemeni army, with the support of the Arab Coalition forces, is advancing towards the coastal villages of Hodeidah city.

During a regular press conference that the Coalition's Joint Forces command held on Monday, Col. Turki al-Maliki said the Yemeni army has only 20 kilometers more to go to seize control of the Red Sea port city through which enter most of the humanitarian assistance. He said that rapid gains of the army increased collapses and confusions in the rebels' ranks.

He cited similar gains the Yemeni army secured in Baqem, a district in the northern stronghold of Houthis, Saada province.
He pointed to the army's in Haradh town of the northern Hajjah province, which will result in restoring the town's main customs port back to service.

He said that the ballistic missiles and projectiles Houthis fired toward the Kingdom have amounted to 146 missiles, 66307 projectiles, and the total losses of the Houthi militia. He referred to the US Treasury recent blacklisting of five Iranians for supplying ballistic missile technology to the Houthi militias. The US move is an indication that Iran is state sponsor of terrorism, he said.
