RIYADH -SABA
The spokesperson of the Arab Coalition Col. Turki Al-Malki, has said investigations showed that the blast in a Turkish ship carrying wheat to Yemen last week was a deliberate attack from the Red Sea port of Hodeidah.

In the regular press conference of the Arab Coalition forces command on Monday, al-Maliki said the Houthi rebel militia bear the legal responsibility for violating international law in the area of Ramy al-Mikhtaf in Hodidah.

He said that the port of Hodeidah has become an entry point smuggled ballistic missiles and for launching hostilities in the Red Sea and the Bab al-Mandab strait, pointing out that targeting the Turkish ship will have great impact in terms of environmental effects as well as the safety of ships in the area.

He said that not suspicious material was found onboard the vessel that was carrying only wheat coming from Russia. Investigations showed that a boat approached the ship from a distance of 4 nautical miles and then withdrew into disappearance.

The ship was attacked by a missile. According to the crew, the missile penetrated the outer wall of the vessel.
