Minister of Agriculture and Irrigation Othman Mujalli met Friday in Rome with the Vice Executive Director of the World Food Program (WFP) Amir Abdullah Ali.
The meeting took place on the sideline of the meetings of the 34th Round of FAO Regional Conference for the Near East and North Africa, held in the Italian capital Rome.
Aspects of cooperation between Yemen and the WFP were touched upon during the meeting.
Mujalli welcomed the WFP's desire to increase the cooperation with the Ministry of Agriculture in our country through supporting recovery operations in the areas where the WFP is no longer facing a looming famine risk.
For his part, Ali lauded the Yemeni government cooperation with the WFP; affirming that the WFP is keen to provide the necessary relief aids to help mitigating the humanitarian crisis in Yemen.
