Deputy Minister of Local Administration—member of Supreme Relief Committee—Abdulsalam Abood met Wednesday with the ambassador of South Korea to our country Yak Woung Shul.
The meeting aimed to explore a mechanism for distributing the Korean relief aids provided by the government of South Korea to the Yemeni people.
The Korean humanitarian aid includes 17 thousand tons of rice provided through the World Food Program (WFP). This shipment of relief aid is expected to arrive in Yemen next month.
Abood expressed the Yemeni government's appreciation for the South Korean government and people for supporting Yemen in different fields.
The South Korean diplomat noted that the humanitarian aids will be provided in two shipments during the next two months of June and July.
