STOCKHOLM-SABA
Yemen's Ambassador to the Netherlands and non-resident ambassador to the Kingdom of Sweden, Sahar Ghanem, has affirmed the Yemeni political leadership's keenness for achieving a lasting and comprehensive peace.

She made the remarks during a meeting with the Director-General for International Development Cooperation at the Swedish Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Johannes Oljelund, the Head of the Middle East and North Africa Division, Ambassador Ann Desmore Desk, and other Swedish government and humanitarian aid organization officials in Stockholm.

The meeting discussed issues related to the humanitarian situation in Yemen and the Yemeni government's efforts to normalize the situation in the recaptured areas and the efforts to achieve peace.

She also stressed the government's keenness to cooperate fully in the admittance and delivery of humanitarian aid to all Yemeni provinces. She highlighted the need for devising an international approach to decentralize the concentration of humanitarian assistance to ensure easier access to all the needy people and reduce the high operating expenses.

For their part, the Swedish officials expressed their great interest in supporting the government in all its endeavors, foremost of which are the quest of peace and the humanitarian aid.
