Prime Minister Dr Ahmed Obeid Bin-Dagher chaired a meeting included senior officials of local authority in Socatra Archipelagoes. He stressed the importance of maintaining the archipelagoes as safe and intact in political, militarily, security and economical terms.
" It is very important to maintain the island as an intact and way out any political, militarily, security and economical negative impacts", said Bin-Dagher.
The governor of Socatra Archipelagoes Ramzi Muhroos reported about the most important projects the Archipelagoes need at present, citing a commercial harbor and airports as a case-in-point.
The meeting came up with several decisions most important of all are the following:
80 million Yemeni Rial(YR) has been approved to purchase two ferries for the two islands of Abdulkori and Samha to ease transport from the two islands to Socatra or Mukall.
24 million (YR) annually payment also endorsed for the two islands of Abdulkori and Samha to meet the basic needs of the population, moreover to establish a residential city for the two islands.
The Prime Minister also ordered to prepare an operational budget for the Archipelogoes. He also instructed to employee 60 teachers and distribute them soon to the schools.
