Yemen's Ambassador to Canada Jamal al-Sallal discussed on Saturday with Canadian MPs boosting relations in parliament field.
He met separately with Deputy Head Foreign Relations and International Development in Canadian Parliament and Member of Foreign Relations at the House of Common and the Head of Foreign Ministry and the Shadow Government.
Al-Sallal expressed appreciation of the government for Canadian support to Yemen, its unity, security and stability, as well as for supporting humanitarian efforts in Yemen via the United Nations and its organization.
Ambassador al-Sallal confirmed keenness of the government on regaining peace and upending the coup in accordance with the three peace foundations; the GCC Initiative, the outcomes of the National Dialogue Conference and the UN Resolution 2216, as well as releasing all prisoners.
He renewed call to Canada for joining Group 18 for monitoring the political process in Yemen and calling it also to join Yemen's group of friends.
For their parts, the Canadian MPs renewed their government's support to legal government of Yemen and necessity of realizing peace and ending the war.
They also expressed their astonishment over catastrophic situations in Yemen.
