Minister of Youth and Sport Naef Al-Bakri said the Yemeni government has been keen on managing challenges Yemen has been struggling with because of the war.

Speaking at the conclusion of the 4th Round of the Conference of the Ministers of Youth and Sport of the member states of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) held in the Azerbaijani capital Bako, Al-Bakri added: "The war waged by Houthi putschist militia caused great deal of damages in the sport and youth business in Yemen, sport facilities including stadiums, halls, clubs all seriously damaged, militia turned sporting venues to weapons storages and training camps".

The Minister stated that the Ministry of Youths and Sport has been working hard to revitalize sporting activities at national and international arenas." We have managed to maintain presence abroad through national sporting teams participation in different sport competitions and games", said Al-Bakri.
