Minister of Local Administration Abdulraqib Fath has said the relief aid, which will be provided via the World Food Program on April, will target six million people across Yemen.
The relief will be distributed in kind aid to six million and 172 thousand people and 709 thousand people in Sana'a, Hodeida, Taiz and the Capital Sana'a will be handed goods cards, said Fath in a statement to Saba.
Fath, who is also the Head of the Supreme Relief Committee, added that the program will help 34 thousand new displaced people in different areas of Sana'a, Taiz and Hodeida Provinces.
He confirmed keenness of the committee on coordination with all partners and donors for providing the relief and humanitarian assistances to needy across Yemen. He also confirmed commitment of the committee on facilitating activities of international organizations for improving humanitarian situation.
He praised efforts of the WFP and of all relief organizations for providing aid to Yemeni needy in all provinces.
