Yemeni-Turkish cooperation discussed

Deputy Premier, Foreign Minister Abdulmalik Al-Mekhlafi met Thursday with the Turkish ambassador to our country Levent Eller.

Yemeni-Turkish bilateral ties and cooperation was key focus of Al-Mekhlafi's conversation Eller.

The need for getting the Turkish Field Hospital accomplished in the province of Taiz was also discussed.

The Foreign Minister detailed the Turkish diplomat on the latest developments about the political process in our country, including ongoing good offices have been made by the UN envoy Martin Griffith. He reiterated the legitimate government's support for Mr Griffith as it happened it supported former envoy Ould Sheikh Ahmed.

Al-Mekhlafi confirmed that the government is ready to offer Mr Griffith all cooperation to resume peace efforts on the basis of the GCC's Initiative, its operational mechanism, outcomes of the National Dialogue and UNSC resolution 2216.

"Peace in Yemen can be achieved if the putschist militia shows good faith and genuine intention to meet peace requirements", said Al-Mekhalfi.

The Turksih ambassador has affirmed his country's continuous support for the legitimate government, humanitarian and development assistance for Yemen's government and people.
