The Foreign Ministry has strongly decried Iran's negative interference in the Yemeni internal issue with the purpose of supporting the coup d'état, encouraging chaos and instability in Yemen; extending its spoiler roles in the region.

In statement the Yemeni News Agency (Saba) received, the Ministry said " Iran has turned its embassy premises in Sana'a into a military barracks , training center for the putschist militia, military operations room in which Iranian military advisers gathered with the coup leaders. The premises now serve as stores of weapons, explosive devices and missiles that pose threat to the local residents in the capital Sana'a, other Yemeni provinces and cities and the neighboring countries".

The Foreign Ministry has reminded the Iranian government that it happened that the Yemeni government announced cut off diplomatic relations with Iran and demanded all Iranian diplomats and nationals to leave Yemen three years ago.

The Ministry called on the Iranian government to comply with the diplomatic agreements, conventions and norms, and immediately shut down its embassy in Sana'a and all Iranian nationals to depart the Yemeni territories.

The Ministry also reiterated its call on Iran to stop its interventions in Yemen, halt its support for the Houthi putschist militia and honor its commitments to the International Security Councils in relevant, specifically 2216.
